St. Cloud, Waterloo, Lakeshore, and Kalamazoo sit at the top of their divisions so far in the second half of season. These teams look to continue their momentum on the leaderboard as they head into a new series of competition beginning Wednesday afternoon. Seven teams swept their series on Tuesday. The Waterloo Bucks managed to win four in a row to defeat the Eau Claire Express this week. Twelve teams will face off in double header series Wednesday — as a few teams look to stay in the win column following their series.

 

Kalamazoo 4, Battle Creek 2

The Kalamazoo Growlers swept the series against the Battle Creek Battle Jacks Tuesday evening. The Growlers lead the Great Lakes East division with a 6-2 record and are on a five game win streak.

Gabe Springer (Stanford) went 4-for-5 with three doubles, one RBI, and scored once. Colin Blanchard (Washington) went 2-for-3 with a walk. Eamon Hordewel (Michigan) earned his third win on the mound throwing 8 innings and allowed eight hits, two runs, four walks, three strikeouts.

Wisconsin Rapids 4, Madison 3

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters defeated the Madison Mallards 4-3 , sweeping the series against them this week. The Rapid Rafters earned their fourth win on the season while Madison still leads the Great Lakes West division with a 4-2 record.

Garrett Broussard (Utah Valley) went 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBI, and two runs scored. Chris Conniff (Wagner) also went 2-for-4 with a double and one RBI. Jorge De Goti (Indiana) tallied two hits – one of which was double this evening. Calen Graham (North Central Texas) earned the win throwing 5 innings and allowed only three hits, zero runs, one walk, and zero strikeouts.

Kenosha 4, Traverse City 3

The Kenosha Kingfish split the series against the Pit Spitters after defeating them in a close 4-3 matchup Tuesday evening. The Kingfish earned their second win so far in this second half of season and have some continued climbing to do.

Dom Listi (North Central College) went 4-for-4 with two RBI and one run scored on the day. Brandon Nigh (Oakland) tallied two hits with one RBI. Reed Gannon (Kentucky) earned the win throwing 2.2 innings and allowed two hits, zero runs, one walk, and two strikeouts.

Bismarck 1, Rochester 4

The Rochester Honkers sweep the series against the Bismarck Larks after defeating them 4-1 Tuesday evening. Rochester stands with a 4-4 record so far this season.

Tyler White (Sacramento St)went 3-for-4 with one RBI and one run scored. Cody Borraggine (San Joaquin Delta College) went 2-for-4 at the plate with one run scored. Daniel Willie (Montreat) earned the win throwing 7 innings and allowed three hits, zero runs, one walk, and eight strikeouts.

Green Bay 8, Wausau 3

The Green Bay Rockers split the series against the Wausau Woodchucks after suffering an 18-7 loss in game one. The Rockers came back to win 8-3 Tuesday evening.

Jojo Jackson (Georgia St) went 4-for-4 with one RBI and two runs scored. Jack Holman (UCLA) went 1-for-3 with two walks and two runs scored. Cuyler Zukowski (Illinois – Chicago) tallied a three RBI double. Luke Moeller (Arizona) earned the win throwing 1.2 innings and allowed one hit, zero runs, zero walks, and zero strikeouts.

Thunder Bay 6, Duluth 14

The Duluth Huskies swept their series against the Thunder Bay Border Cats Tuesday evening, winning their contest 14-6.

Brandon Compton (Arizona St) went 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBI, and scored three times. Brylan West (Florida International) and Michael Halquist (Minnesota – Crookston) each tallied two hits, two RBI, and two runs scored. Jared Mettam (Saint Mary’s College) went 2-for-3 with two walks, two RBI, and one run scored. Alex Potter (Nebraska – Omaha) tallied his third win on the mound throwing 6 innings – allowed five runs, five walks, and four strikeouts.

Minot 2, Mankato 18

The Mankato MoonDogs swept the Minot Hots Tots after winning game two in an 18-2 blowout series.

Dustin Crenshaw (Grand Canyon) went 3-for-5 with a triple, two RBI, and scored every time he reached base. Max Williams (Florida St) led the offense going 3-for-4 with a double, home run, four RBI, and four runs scored. Brendan Hord (Evansville) went 4-for-6 with two home runs, seven RBI, and scored twice.

Willmar 7, St. Cloud 8

The St. Cloud Rox split the series against the Willmar Stingers Tuesday evening, defeating them -. The Rox lead the Great Plains West with a 6-2 record so far.

Jackson Hauge (Minnesota St – Mankato) went 3-for-6 with a double, two RBI, and three runs scored. Carson Keithley (Texas St) went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI. Davis Cop (Iowa) went 2-for-2 with three walks, one RBI, and scored once. Jake Burcham (Tarleton St) earned the win throwing 1 innings and allowed three hits, three runs, and zero walks.

Kokomo 9, Lakeshore 10

The Lakeshore Chinooks get the series sweep against the Kokomo Jackrabbits after taking game two 10-9.

Adam Cootway (Wisconsin – Whitewater) went 3-for-5 with a home run, three RBI, and scored twice. Joseph Spence (Notre Dame) went 2-for-5 with a home run, two RBI, and two runs scored. Blake Sotir (Waubonsee Community College) earned the win throwing 1 inning and allowed zero hits, runs, walks, and recorded two strikeouts.

Waterloo 6, Eau Claire 3

The Waterloo Bucks swept their entire series against the Eau Claire Express winning game four 6-3. The Bucks lead the Great Plains East division with a 6-1 record.

Brodie Kresser (West Virginia) went 4-for-5 with one RBI and scored once. Marcus Heusohn (Lindenwood) went 2-for-4 with one RBI. Ben Gallaher tallied one and two RBI on the day. Korey Bunselmeyer (Illinois) earned the win throwing 6 innings and allowed three runs, two walks, and struck out two.

Rockford 5, Fond du Lac 7

The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders take game two of the series, getting the series split after winning 7-5 Tuesday evening.

Teddy Deters (Xavier) went 2-for-5 with a home run, four RBI, and one run scored. Travis Strickler (Embry Riddle) went 2-for-3 with a walk and scored once. Sebastian Guzman (Washington – St. Louis) earned the win throwing 6 innings and allowed four runs, one walk, and zero strikeouts.
