The Northwoods league featured a twelve game slate Thursday evening that concluded with a shutout win from Fond du Lac in game one against Lakeshore. Mankato MoonDogs, Asher Bradd, hit for the cycle on Thursday making him the second MoonDog to achieve that since 2005.

 

Green Bay 3, Madison 2

Jojo Jackson (Georgia St) went 2-for-3 on the day while Kendal Ewell (Kentucky) tallied two hits with an RBI double. Austin Fawley (Kentucky) went 1-for-3 with an RBI double and scored once. Michael Riley (Gateway Community College) earned the win throwing 6 innings and allowed only two hits, one run, two walks, and six strikeouts.

Kalamazoo 9, Kokomo 4

Banks Tolley (Appalachian St) went 3-for-4 with two doubles and five RBI, leading the Growlers offense. Gabe Springer (Stanford) tallied two hits with one RBI and scored three times. Jake Carroll (Northwood University) earned the win throwing 1.2 innings and allowed two hits, zero runs, one walk, and two strikeouts.

Kenosha 5, Traverse City 1

Adam Pottinger (Indiana St) went 2-for-3 with a triple, home run, one RBI, and two runs scored. Lance Trippel (Florida St) went 2-for-4 with one run scored. Kendall Lyons (Illinois – Chicago) earned the win throwing 6 innings and allowed two hits, one run, one walk, and five strikeouts.

Thunder Bay 5, Rochester 2

Daylan Pena went 2-for-4 with two home runs, two RBI, and scored twice. Karson Krowka went 2-for-3 with one RBI on the night. Robert Spencer earned the win throwing 5 innings and allowed only one hit, one run, two walks, and five strikeouts.

La Crosse 5, Eau Claire 9

Brigs Richartz (St. Thomas) went 2-for-4 with one RBI and two runs scored. Dylan O’Connell (Western Kentucky) went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI, and one run scored. Bronson Rivera (Hawaii) went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one RBI, and scored twice. Kale Hopke (North Dakota St) earned the win throwing 5 innings and allowed five hits, one run, four walks, and two strikeouts.

Minnesota 4, Duluth 12

Brylan West (Florida International) went 3-for-4 with a triple, four RBI, and two runs scored. Brandon Compton (Arizona St) went 1-for-3 with two RBI and scored twice. Austin Humphres (Arizona St) earned the win throwing 6 innings and allowed five hits, four runs, five walks, and two strikeouts.

Willmar 2, St. Cloud 0

Parker Stinson (Indiana St) went 1-for-3 with one RBI on the night. Kevin Fitzer (California St – Northridge) and Stone Miyao (Hawaii) each tallied a hit and were the only two runs scored. Chris Rofe (Mount Marty College) earned his fourth win after throwing 7 innings and allowed one hit, zero runs, two walks, and six strikeouts.

Bismarck 12, Minot 8

Benjamin Rosengard (Rice) went 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored. Nick Oakley (California – San Diego) went 3-for-5 with a double, two RBI, and one run scored. Garret Hill (North Dakota St) went 4-for-6 with a double, three RBI, and two runs scored. Andrew Hansen (Fort Hayes St) earned the win throwing 5 innings and allowed four hits, three walks, and seven strikeouts.

Lakeshore 0, Fond du Lac 3

Jake Surane (Wisconsin – Oshkosh) wnt 2-for-4 with two RBI. Seth Sweet-Chick (Nevada – Reno) scored on a balk after going 1-for-2 at the plate. Joseph Chavana (Trinity) earned the win throwing 7 innings and allowed four hits, zero runs, one walk, and seven strikeouts.

Wausau 7, Rockford 4

Brent Widder (Evansville) went 2-for-4 with a double and one RBI on the night. Jake Baker (Kansas) tallied a two-RBI single. Matt Mcgann (Albion) tallied two hits with one RBI. Chandler Freeman (Baylor) earned the win throwing  2 innings and allowed zero hits,  two runs, four walks, and three strikeouts.

Battle Creek 7, Wisconsin Rapids 5

Jake Jekielek (Northwood Univesity) earned the win throwing 2.2 innings and allowed one hit, zero runs, one walk, and five strikeouts. Brock Daniels (Missouri) went 1-for-2 with two walks and one RBI. Sebastian Kuhns (Huntington) and Blake Mcrae (Eastern Michigan) each tallied a hit with two RBI on the night.

Waterloo 2, Mankato 10

Kolby Kiser (Southwest Minnesota St) earned his fifth win throwing 6 innings and allowed five hits, one run, zero walks, and five strikeouts. Asher Bradd (Illinois) went 4-for-5 with a double, triple, home run, three RBI, and two runs scored — hitting for the cycle the first time this season. Kip Fougerousse (Evansville) went 3-for-5 with a double, one RBI, and two runs scored.
