The Northwoods League featured a thirteen game slate with La Crosse, Eau Claire, and Waterloo leading with four wins in a row — all three teams representing the Great Plains East. The Kalamazoo Growlers earned their sixteenth win of the season and continue to lead the Great Lakes region with a 16-7 record. La Crosse is leading the entire league with nineteen wins and is looking to tally their twentieth after the conclusion of Sunday’s contests.

 

 

Kenosha 4, Kalamazoo 7

Korbin Griffin went 3-for-4 with a home run, three RBI, and scored once. Will Furniss went 1-for-3 with a two run home run. Casen Taggart went 1-for-2 with one RBI on the night. Jerad Berkenpas earned the win throwing 4 innings and allowed six hits, three runs, one walk, and six strikeouts.

Duluth 4, Thunder Bay 8

Carter Allen went 2-for-3 with two doubles and three RBI. Daylan Pena also went 2-for-3 at the plate with a double and two RBI on the night. Cole Ketzner went 1-for-2 with an RBI single. Jacob Gajic earned the win throwing 4 innings and allowed six hits, two runs, one walk, and five strikeouts.

Bismarck 4, St. Cloud 10

Jackson Hauge went 3-for-4 with a double and one RBI. Sawyer Smith went 2-for-3 with two RBI and scored twice. Anthony Mata went 3-for-5 with two runs scored. Brady Posch earned the win throwing 2.1 innings and allowed zero hits, zero runs, one walk, and three strikeouts.

Wisconsin Rapids 2, Green Bay 7

Jayson Jones went 2-for-3 with two home runs, three RBI, and scored three times. Cooper Kelly went 2-for-4 with one RBI. Zane Zielinski went 2-for-4 with a double. Kyle Stoddard earned the win throwing 5 innings and allowed one hit, one run, three walks, and five strikeouts.

Fond du Lac 4, Madison 3

Seth Sweet-Chick went 2-for-4 with a home run and one RBI. Jake Surane went 1-for-4 with a solo home run on the night. Jack Zupfer earned the win throwing 2 innings and allowed one hits, one run, three walks, and three strikeouts.

Rockford 5, Kokomo 6

Tyler Epstein went 1-for-3 with two walks and two RBI. Tatsunori Negishi went 1-for-3 with an RBI double and two walks. Karson Hesser tallied an RBI single. Nick Crystal earned the win throwing 0.2 innings and allowed zero hits, runs, walks, and one strikeout.

Battle Creek 8, Traverse City 6

JT Sokolove went 2-for-4 with a home run, four RBI, and two runs scored. Anthony Aloisio tallied one hit with two RBI. Spencer Verburg went 2-for-4 with a double and one RBI. Cole Giesige earned the win throwing 1.1 innings and allowed one hit, one run, one walk, and one strikeout.

Minnesota 14, Eau Claire 15

Camden Ross went 2-for-2 with a triple and two RBI. Temo Becerra went 1-for-4 with a two RBI double. Bronson Rivera went 1-for-4 with two walks, one RBI, and three runs scored. Cort MacDonald tallied three RBI and one run scored. Nick Fitzanko earned the win throwing 1 inning and allowed zero hits, one run, three walks, and two strikeouts.

La Crosse 7, Mankato 5

Jonathan Lane went 3-for-5 with two RBI and scored twice. Jackson Cobb went 3-for-6 with one RBI on the night. Aiden Moffett earned the win throwing 2 innings and allowed only one hit, one run, zero walks, and two strikeouts.

Kenosha 0, Kalamazoo 6

Anthony Stephan went 2-for-4 with a double and one RBI. Will Furniss went 2-for-3 with a double and one RBI as well. Gabe Springer went 1-for-1 with a walk and one run scored. Adam Berghorst earned the win throwing 7 innings and allowed six hits, zero runs, one walk, and five strikeouts.

Rochester 10, Minot 8

Ian Daugherty went 3-for-5 with a home run, two RBI, and two runs scored. Carson Stevens went 3-for-5 with a double and one RBI. Petey Craska tallied a two RBI double and scored once. Ryan Mixey earned the win throwing 4 innings and allowed zero hits, zero runs, three walks, and three strikeouts.

Wausau 8, Lakeshore 9

Gabe Springer went 3-for-4 with a double and one RBI. Sam Vomhof tallied a two RBI single. Joseph Spence went 2-for-5 with one RBI and scored twice. Tyler Deleskiewicz earned the win throwing 2.1 innings and allowed two hits, zero runs, one walk, and three walks.

Waterloo 6, Willmar 2

Ben Gallaher went 2-for-4 with a double, home run, and two RBI on the night. Greg Nichols went 1-for-4 with a triple and two RBI. Dylan Warda earned his second win of the season on the mound.
