The Bismarck Larks hosted the All-Star Home Run Derby and will be hosting the Great Plains All-Star Tuesday night (8/1) in Bismarck. The Great Plains West defeated the Great Plains East 56-43 in the Home Run Challenge. Jackson Hauge (St. Cloud Rox) was announced the NWL Home Run Challenge Champion for the Great Plains competition, leading both divisions with twelve home runs in this contest..

Wisconsin Rapids 5, Wausau 0 **

Brendan Bobo (California St – Fullerton) tallied four RBI on the night with a grand slam, his only hit of the game. Jorge De Goti (Indiana) went 1-for-3 with one run scored. Ty Johnson reached base on a double and scored once. Drake Frize (San Diego) earned his second win on the mound throwing 6 innings and allowed only four hits, zero runs, one walk, and eight strikeouts.

Kalamazoo 11, Battle Creek 10

Jeter Ybarra (Washington) went 4-for-5 with three RBI and one run scored, leading Kalamazoo offensively Monday evening. Anthony Stephan (Virginia) and Banks Tolley (Appalachian St) eached tallied two hits and combined for four RBI and four runs scored. Will Furniss (Mississippi) went 2-for-3 with a double and one RBI. Ethan Getting (Purdue Northwest) earned the win throwing 1 inning and allowed two hits, two runs, one walk, and zero strikeouts.

Wisconsin Rapids 6, Wausau 5

Anthony Galason (Coastal Carolina) and Jorge De Goti (Indiana) each went 2-for-4 and combined for one RBI and two runs scored. Garrett Broussard (Utah Valley) went 2-for-3 with one RBI and scored once. David Smigelski (LaGrange College) also tallied two hits on the day with a walk and scored once. Julian Tristan (Westcliff University) earned his third win throwing 1 inning and allowed five hits, five runs, one walk, and zero strikeouts.

Lakeshore 12, Madison 5

Sam Hojnar (Iowa) went 2-for-3 with a double, home run, four RBI, and scored three times. Drew Townsend (Missouri St) went 2-for-3 with two home runs and three RBI on the night. Carson Hansen (Wisconsin – Milwaukee) tallied two RBI with a home run. Nole Kahle (St. Cloud St)earned the win throwing 2 innings and allowed only one hit, one run, three walks, and zero strikeouts.

Traverse City 4, Kokomo 0

Six batters in the Pit Spitters lineup tallied at least one hit. Cole Prout (Central Michigan) went 1-for-4 with a two run home run. Andrew Mannelly (Wolford College) went 1-for-3 with a double and run scored. Camden Traficante (Embry Riddle) went 1-for-3 with a two RBI double. Aren Gustafson (Master’s University) earned the win throwing 7 innings and allowed two hits, zero runs, one walk, and four strikeouts.

Kenosha 4, Rockford 3

Nico Bermeo (Aurora University) went 1-for-3 with one run scored. TJ Yakimisky (Illinois – Springfield)  went 1-for-4 with two RBI on the night. Ryan Linkletter (Northern Illinois) earned the win throwing 2 innings and allowed one hit, zero runs, one walk, and one strikeout.

Green Bay 3, Fond du Lac 0

Jayson Jones (Arkansas) went 1-for-3 with one RBI and one run scored. AJ Anzai (Chapman University) went 1-for-4 with one RBI on the day. Cooper Dossett (Arkansas) earned the win throwing 1.2 innings and allowed one hit, zero runs, one walk, and four strikeouts.
