The Rockford Rivets and Kenosha Kingfish went into extra during Wednesday evening’s matchup — with the Rivets defeating the Kingfish 5-4. The Dock Spiders held the Green Bay Rockers to three runs in their 10-3 contest this evening. Wisconsin Rapids won their fourth game in a row after defeating Wausau 7-4.

Kalamazoo 12, Battle Creek 3

The Kalamazoo Growlers defeated the Battle Creek Battle Jacks 12-3 Wednesday evening. Battle Creek was scoreless until they rallied with three runs in the bottom of the ninth, but could not drive anymore across. The Growlers lead the Great Lakes East division with a 19-7 record.

Evan Rodriguez (Tallahassee Community College) went 3-for-5 on the night, scoring once. Gabe Springer (Stanford) went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI on the night. Banks Tolley (Appalachian St) went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI, leading the Growlers offense in that category. Anthony Stephan (Virginia) and Gavin Lewis Jr. (Alabama – Birmingham) each tallied two hits. Stephan tallied three RBI and scored three times. Korbin Griffin (Ball St) drove in two runs with a single and scored twice himself. Eamon Horwedel (Michigan) earned the win throwing 7 innings and allowed only three hits, zero runs, zero walks, and eight strikeouts.

Traverse City 7, Kokomo 4

The Traverse City Pit Spitters defeated the Kokomo Jackrabbits 7-4  Wednesday evening. The Pit Spitters are now at a 15-12 record this season.

Tyler Minnick (Georgia Tech) and Parker Brosius (Georgia Tech) tallied two hits — combining for two RBI and one run scored. Camden Traficante (Embry Riddle) went 2-for-3 with a triple and four RBI. Nathan Dvorsky (Clemson) earned the win throwing 7 innings and gave up three hits, two runs, three walks, and struck out six batters.

Madison 3, Lakeshore 2

The Madison Mallards defeated the Lakeshore Chinooks 3-2. The Mallards lead the Great Lakes West division with a 16-12 record.

Keenan Taylor (Purdue) went 2-for-3 with a home run, one RBI, and scored once. Canyon Brown (North Carolina A&T) drove in a two run single. Liam Moreno (State College of Florida Manatee – Sarasota) and Nick Williams (Michigan St) each went 2-for-4 on the night. Ben Kasten (Madison College) earned the win throwing 2 innings and allowed four hits, two runs, one walk, and one strikeout.

Wisconsin Rapids 7, Wausau 4

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters defeated the Wausau Woodchucks in four straight games so far. The Rapid Rafters are just behind the Madison Mallards with a 14-11 record on the season, and continue with a win streak of four.

James Bornick (Marion University) went 3-for-5 with one RBI and two runs scored. Orlando Lorduy (Benedictine University at Mesa) went 2-for-4 with one RBI on the night. Brendan Bobo (California St – Fullerton) went 2-for-3 with two RBI and scored twice. Calen Graham (Texas St) earned the win throwing 4 innings and allowed two hits, one run, two walks, and three strikeouts.

Fond du Lac 10, Green Bay Rockers 3

The Dock Spiders defeated the Green Bay Rockers 10-3 Wednesday evening.

Graiden West (Rice University) went 2-for-3 with two walks and scored twice when he reached base. Drew Barragan (Embry Riddle) tallied four RBI with a grand slam. Seth Sweet-Chick (Nevada Reno) went 1-for-4 with a two run double, then scored on Drew Barragan’s home run. Sebastian Guzman (Washington University at St. Louis) earned the win throwing 6 innings and allowed five hits, two runs, one walk, and one strikeout.

Rockford 5, Kenosha 4

The Rockford Rivets defeated the Kenosha Kingfish in extra innings after scoring the go ahead run in the top of the tenth to secure the win. Rockford trials Kalamazoo with a 17-11 record on the second half of season.

Adam Juran (Western Kentucky) went 2-for-5 at the plate with a double and two RBI. Nick Demarco (Notre Dame) tallied a run with a single and scored once. Beau Coffman (South Carolina) earned the win throwing 2 innings and allowed one hit, zero runs, one walk, and one strikeout.
