The Waterloo Bucks announced the signing of University of Iowa sophomore Zach McCool. The 5'7", 165-pound middle-infielder joins fellow Hawks Patrick Schatz and Phil Keppler on the Bucks 2009 roster.

A pair of Louisville Cardinal freshman right-handed pitchers in Derek Self and Tony Zych (pronounced ‘Zick’) have signed with the Madison Mallards for the 2009 season.

The Mallards are excited to announce the team will add 20 percent more general admission seating in the Great Dane Duck Blind without changing capacity or ticket prices for the 2009 season. The addition is in direct response to fan surveys taken last fall which showed 65 percent of fans who attended the Duck Blind thought the one change that would improve the area would be more general admission seating. The Mallards will re-locate the visiting team bullpen and turn that space into additional room for picnic tables and bench seating with great field level views of the action. There will now be nearly 900 seats available on a first-come-first-serve basis compared to approximately 700 in 2008. The expansion will also provide more space for access to the Duck Blind concession area, which will speed up service for all fans on the deck.

The Mankato MoonDogs Baseball Club, a member of the Northwoods League, is proud to announce the signing of two players for the 2009 season. Sophomore infielder Edgar Molina of Southwestern College (Chula Vista, CA) and sophomore infielder/outfielder Lance Ray of Western Nevada College (Carson City, NV) have committed to play for the MoonDogs this summer.

The Rochester Honkers Baseball Club announced today the signing of Danny Brock, a 6-foot-1, 210-pound junior infielder from Saint Louis University. Brock will see most of his action at first base this summer and may see some time on the mound.

The Duluth Huskies have signed a duo from the University of Florida for the upcoming season. Preston Tucker and Greg Larson are the latest additions to the 2009 Huskies roster.

The Wisconsin Woodchucks recently announced the signings of pitcher Brandon Koenigstein and catcher Josh Ludy. Koenigstein is a freshman at Creighton University and Ludy is a freshman at Baylor University.

The Rochester Honkers Baseball Club announced the signing of Danny Pulfer, a 5-foot-10, 185-pound freshman infielder from the University of Oregon. Pulfer is the second Duck on the Honkers squad this summer. The Honkers also announced the signing of Brian Flynn, a 6-foot-8, 245-pound freshman left-handed pitcher from Wichita State University.

The Waterloo Bucks announced the signing of University of Hawaii freshman Lenny Linsky. The 6'3", 180-pound right-hander becomes the sixth pitcher added to the 2009 staff.
