The Rox began their 6-game road trip on the right foot as they took game number one against Mankato by a final score of 5-4.
Once again displaying their resiliency, the Rox trailed 1-0 after 1 inning, and then again 4-3 after 5, before they tied things up at 4 a piece in the top of the 6th.
Sheldon Miks (St. Cloud St) went 6 innings, while giving up 4 runs on 7 hits. He also struck out two for the Rox.
From there, the game remained scoreless, until the top of the 9th inning, when Toby Hanson (University of Minnesota) lined a 2 out double down the left field line to score Connor Crane (Mcneese. St) from second to give the Rox the one run lead.
Trevor Charpie (Saddleback CC) was on the mound in the bottom of the 9th, and made quick work of the Moondogs, as he retired the only 3 batters he faced, 2 via the strikeout.

After the 6 game road trip, the Rox return home next Sunday the 14th as they host the Wilmar Stingers from Joe Faber Field at 1:05 PM. Sunday represents Rox Drawstring Backpack Giveaway presented by Central Minnesota Credit Union. Also that Sunday is Books & Baseball Day presented by Early Childhood Initiative and United Way. Kids can also run the bases at the conclusion of Sunday's game.
