St. Cloud, MN – The St. Cloud Rox have recently announced the additions of two full-time staff members as the organization prepares for its 11th season of Northwoods League Baseball.
Rachel Thiesse, a Rox intern in 2019 and 2020 prior to serving as the Director of Promotions during the 2021 season has joined the Rox front office staff full-time. Andrew Bauer, a former gameday operations employee for the team will also join the Rox staff. Thiesse and Bauer will both serve in the role of Assistant General Manager and assist in day-to-day team operations, sales & marketing, along with coordinating game-day operations and promotions.
Thiesse originally from Becker, Minnesota will graduate with a master’s degree in sports management from Concordia University-St. Paul in the Fall of 2022. Thiesse received her undergraduate degree in organizational communications from St. Cloud State University in 2019. Thiesse recently worked in marketing and promotions for Minnesota State University, Mankato Athletics.
“I am very excited to join the Rox full-time. It has been an organization I have loved being a part of the past three seasons. I’m looking forward to spending more nights at the Rockpile and continuing to help bring Rox Solid Fun to Central Minnesota,” Thiesse said.
Bauer, who was born and raised in St. Cloud, journey with the Northwoods League began long before this season. For ten seasons he was employed as a game day operator for the St. Cloud River Bats starting in the late 90’s. His family has been a host family for the last 25 years. Bauer graduated from Apollo High School and later attended and graduated from St. Cloud Technical and Community College. Bauer has been working in sales for the past seven years for Anderson Trucking Services in St. Cloud.
“I’ve cheered for and admired the Rox organization for as long as I can remember, and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to be a part of the team. I’m excited to do my part to help enhance the fan experience at the Rockpile and continue to make it the best place to be in the summer,” Bauer said.
