St. Cloud, MN – With less than two months until opening day, the Rox continue to fill out this summer’s roster with Jared Thomas (Loyola Marymount), Will Worthington (San Diego), Michael McNamara (Kent State) and Trevor Austin (Mercer) all joining the team.

Thomas comes to St. Cloud as a catcher and an outfielder after his junior season at LMU. Thomas joined the Lions this year after spending his first two collegiate seasons at Miami (FL). The California native returned home and is hitting over .300 this season.

In the middle infield, the Rox add Worthington from the USD Toreros. Growing up in Phoenix, Worthington is finishing his third season at San Diego where he hit .264 just a season ago. In high school, Worthington was named a preseason all-American by Under Armor and Perfect Game.

McNamara becomes the latest Golden Flash to spend his summer in St. Cloud after finishing up his sophomore campaign at Kent State. The Cleveland native hit. 300 in his first collegiate season and has already hit nine home runs as a sophomore.

Finally, Austin comes to the Rox from Mercer after his redshirt-junior season with the Bears. The shortstop is a career .295 hitter collegiately with 51 RBI’s.

The Rox will open the season on May 30 in Waterloo against the Bucks. The home-opener at Joe Faber Field is scheduled for Friday, June 3 with postgame fireworks. For the full 2022 Rox schedule, click here. The 2022 season is presented by Fleet Farm.
