Bismarck, ND – St. Cloud (23-6) has a five-game winning streak for the third time this season after a 9-6 win over Bismarck (10-20) on Thursday night.

It was a breakout seventh inning for the Rox that helped St. Cloud to the sweep on Thursday. Entering the inning trailing by two, St. Cloud put up six runs, all coming after the Larks recorded two outs.

O’Neill Burgos (Southern University) doubled to left to give the Rox the lead back, bringing in two runs. Then, Trevor Austin (Mercer) cleared the bases with a double to stretch out the St. Cloud lead to four.

Brady Prewitt (CSU Pueblo) continued his strong season at the plate on Thursday with three more hits. Prewitt drove in the Rox’ first run of the game and then came around to score twice in the late innings.

The Rox got great late-inning relief to close out the victory. Jonathan Martinez (Texas State) got the Rox out of a jam in the seventh and then tossed a scoreless eighth. Then, Chase Grillo (Washington State) posted his ninth save of the season to close out the win.
