Braden Calise (INF, University of Central Florida)

Calise crushed Kansas pitching during a Saturday doubleheader, going 3 for 3 in both games with a stolen base and two runs scored in each. UCF swept the twin bill, with Calise scoring four of the Knights’ 10 runs.

Dominic Castellano (LHP, University of Central Florida)

Castellano made a pair of three-inning appearances, allowing one run on no hits while striking out six. His Saturday outing against Kansas led to a nine-out save as he faced the minimum.

Hayden Coon (RHP, Brigham Young University)

Coon appeared twice out of the bullpen, dealing 4 ⅔ scoreless innings with five strikeouts. On Saturday, he in-conference foe kept Texas Tech off the board in 3 ⅔ frames, extending his season-opening scoreless streak to 10 ⅓ innings.

Hunter Day (RHP, Missouri State University)

Day worked three scoreless innings with two strikeouts in his best outing in nearly a month against Southern Miss. The Richfield native needed only 29 pitches to get nine outs and now carries a .197 opponents’ batting average through eight appearances.

Carter Hanson (OF, University of Massachusetts)

Hanson hit well during midweek action, clubbing his third home run of the year against Norfolk State before collecting two hits against Maryland Eastern-Shore.

Dallin Harrison (RHP, University of San Diego)

Harrison worked a scoreless inning with a strikeout on Tuesday, helping the Toreros to a midweek defeat of Cal State Fullerton. He now owns a 4.50 ERA and a .214 opponents’ batting average a month into his freshman season.

Tyler Hemmesch (RHP, University of Minnesota)

Hemmesch recorded four outs, two via the strikeout, in his Saturday relief appearance at San Francisco. His freshman season ERA now sits at 2.84 with 13 strikeouts through 12 ⅔ innings.

Brandon Jaenke (RHP, Viterbo University)

Jaenke followed up a 14-strikeout start by racking up the K’s again. He punched out 11 Valley City State hitters across five innings, allowing two runs and putting Viterbo in position to win 15-8.

Piercen McElyea (RHP, Tarleton State University)

McElyea allowed one run across 5 ⅓ innings in which he walked none and struck out four. That start against California Baptist helped the Texans to a 4-1 win and lowered McElyea’s season ERA to 4.95.

Logan Reddemann (RHP, University of San Diego)

Reddemann did not allow an earned run in four innings on the bump against Saint Mary’s. In his first collegiate season, Reddemann is one of three San Diego pitchers with more than 24 innings to his name.

Sawyer Smith (INF/RHP, St. Cloud State University)

Smith recorded a hit in all three games he played in against Minnesota State. He went 5 for 13 with a double, a triple and his third home run of the season, bringing his season slash line to .357/.411/.607.
