Francesco Barbieri (OF, Ave Maria University)

Barbieri enjoyed a productive four-game series at Southeastern, going 6-for-16 with four extra-base hits, three stolen bases, and five runs scored. The fifth-year outfielder launched his 13th home run of the season on Thursday before doubling three times on Saturday. Through 37 games, Barbieri’s .773 slugging percentage, 22 steals, and 43 runs still lead the Gyrenes.

Braden Calise (INF, University of Central Florida)

Calise finished the week with a four-game hit streak, the longest such streak of his season. The redshirt sophomore doubled on both Saturday and Sunday at West Virginia, driving in three runs in the series finale. Calise’s week moved him past the 10-RBI threshold for the season and upped his batting average to .277.

Dominic Castellano (LHP, University of Central Florida)

Castellano continued his trend of strong pitching this weekend at West Virginia, allowing one run across five relief innings. Since March 19, the southpaw owns a 1.24 earned run average with 25 strikeouts across 21 ⅔ innings. For the season, Castellano’s .142 opponents’ batting average ranks as UCF’s best.

Aydan Decker-Petty (RHP, Indiana University)

Decker-Petty compiled the best outing of his season on Sunday, allowing one run in 4 ⅓ innings to earn his first collegiate save. The sophomore also struck out a career-high six batters, finalizing a 12-3 Indiana victory over Penn State.

Tyler Hemmesch (RHP, University of Minnesota)

Hemmesch pitched effectively out of the bullpen on Saturday at Michigan. The freshman from Sartell struck out three Wolverines across three innings in which he allowed zero earned runs, lowering his earned run average to 2.70 for the year.

Kade Lewis (INF, Butler University)

Lewis recorded a hit in all five games he played, going 6-for-12 in this weekend’s series against Georgetown. In game two of Saturday’s doubleheader, the freshman produced three hits and drove in a run. Two months into the season, Lewis paces the Bulldogs in batting average (.392), OPS (1.179), and runs batted in (35).

Piercen McElyea (RHP, Tarleton State University)

McElyea put forth the best start of his career on Friday at Utah Tech, delivering six one-hit innings with five strikeouts. After an up-and-down start to the year, the senior right-hander is pitching very well as of late with a 2.28 earned run average across his last 19 ⅔ innings.

Logan Reddemann (INF/RHP, University of San Diego)

Reddemann punched out six Portland hitters in four innings during his Saturday start. For the season, Reddemann now has 38 strikeouts in 42 ⅓ innings pitched.

Tanner Recchio (INF, University of St. Thomas)

Recchio strung together three consecutive multi-hit games for the first time in his career last week. The freshman from Lakeville went a combined 6-for-14 against Iowa and Oral Roberts, stealing five bases in four games.

Sawyer Smith (INF/RHP, St. Cloud State University)

Smith tore up the University of Mary pitching over the weekend, going 9-for-14 with three homes and six runs batted in. He also doubled three times across five games last week, extending his hit streak to a season-long 11 games. Two months into the season, no Husky has a higher batting average, more doubles, or more runs batted in than Smith.
