RECORD BREAKIN’ ROX
The Rox broke a team record in last night’s game vs the Bismarck Larks. St. Cloud stole their 140th base of the season en-route to a 16-8 victory over Bismarck. That stolen base by Ben Higdon set the Rox single season record for stolen bases in a season. In other records that are close to being threatened, Sawyer Smith is one swipe away from breaking the Rox single season individual stolen bases record and Jackson Hauge is two home runs away from breaking the Rox home run record for a single season by an individual as well.
PROBABLE STARTERS (SUBJECT TO CHANGE)
STC- Phil Brennaman is scheduled to make the start for the Rox tonight. The University of Lousiana-Lafayette ballplayer will make his final start before he heads to Mankato for the All-Star game next week. The Missouri native has pitched across 27.1 Innings and has struck out 28 batters. Brennaman has a 3.29 ERA this season and has struck out 15 batters over his last three starts.
MOT- Ayden Sauerbrei is scheduled to make the start for the Hot Tots in the series opener. Sauerbrei has pitched in 12 games this season and amassed 27 innings pitched where he has earned a 6.33 ERA. He started against St. Cloud on the seventh of July where he allowed nine runs in two and a-third innings. He also surrendered six hits including multiple extra base-hits as Carter Hanson tagged him for a home run, and Camden Kaufman struck for a double against Sauerbrei.
