LAST TIME OUT
The St. Cloud Rox dropped game one of their home stand to Badlands on Monday night. The Rox still sit in first place in the Great Plains West.
The Rox would strike first in the second with a sacrifice-fly by Ethan Gibson to give the Rox a 1-0 lead.
Badlands would plate two in the fourth, but would be held off any further with St. Cloud turning a triple-play to end the fourth frame.
The Rox would tie the game in the bottom of the eighth with an RBI groundout by Joshua Dykhoff. But in the next inning, Badlands would hit a solo homer in the and put up a zero in the bottom of the ninth to hand the Rox their first loss at Joe Faber field this season.
PROBABLE STARTERS (SUBJECT TO CHANGE)
STC- Hunter Day will start game two for St. Cloud. Day has pitched four times this season and holds an ERA of 4.84 with 19 strikeouts and five walks while allowing 28 hits in those innings. Day was vintage his last time out, with five one-run innings vs Willmar on June 18 with seven strikeouts. He pitched against Badlands at the home opener this year and went seven innings of three-run ball vs the Big Sticks.
BBS- Tyler Weimer will pitch game two for Badlands. In 14 innings, he has 12 strikeouts, three walks while allowing just ten hits. He holds a 1-1 record with a 3.86 ERA this season and has been very good against division foes. Against the Great Plains West, he has an ERA of 2.00 and has only allowed three hits across ten innings with six strikeouts and only two walks.
