ST. CLOUD, MN – The St. Cloud Rox (34-13) fell 9-1 to the Mankato MoonDogs (22-28) on Sunday, splitting the series before four off days for the All-Star break.

Hunter Day (Minnesota State University) received the start for St. Cloud and gave the Rox five innings of work on the mound before handing it off to McGwire Taylor (Tennessee Wesleyan University), who racked up four strikeouts in two innings of relief.

The Rox were also able to make two highlight double plays in the contest.

St. Cloud would load the bases in the ninth, and found the scoreboard with Carter Jorissen (Cal State Bakersfield) reaching home, but the rally fell short as Mankato won 9-1.

The first-half Great Plains West champion Rox are tied for first place in the second half ahead of the all-star break.

The All-Star Trophy and Awards Star of the Game was Cayden Gaskin.

The Rox take a break from playing at Joe Faber Field for the all-star break, where the Rox coaching staff will coach the Great Plains, and five Rox players will participate in the contest. After the break, St. Cloud returns home on Friday, July 18th, at 7:05 p.m. Central, to face the Mankato MoonDogs with postgame fireworks presented by Opatz Metals & Rolloffs.
