Former St. Cloud Rox infielder Brice Matthews has been officially called up to the Houston Astros Major League roster and made his debut against the Texas Rangers on July 11.  The announcement came just ahead of his previously scheduled appearance in the MLB All-Star Futures Game, set for Saturday, July 19 in Atlanta, GA. 

Playing minor league baseball can sometimes feel like toiling in obscurity. The St. Cloud Rox have punched their ticket to the playoffs by securing the first-half championship in the Great Plains West. This season marks the seventh consecutive year the Rox have punched a ticket into the NWL postseason.

The St. Cloud Rox Baseball Club is proud to partner with many local charity organizations to help fund various needs throughout our community. The Rox, in partnership with St. Cloud Financial Credit Union and Advantage 1, are auctioning off their game-worn special military-themed jerseys that the players will wear Wednesday, July 2 with all the net proceeds benefiting area Veterans through TriUnity Foundation.

Former St. Cloud Rox standout Otto Kemp made his Major League debut on June 7 with the Philadelphia Phillies in a game against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
