Working for the Bismarck Larks baseball team is more than just a job, it’s an experience. There’s always new and exciting things happening at the ballpark. Whether that’s a wacky theme night, a celebrity appearance or a delicious new food item, there’s always something new to experience each night! Ages 14+ are encouraged to come have FUN in the SUN all summer long and join the Bismarck Larks!

The Bismarck Larks are looking for positive, enthusiastic teammates for our 2020 season! Our summer game day positions are exciting roles that interact and engage with our fans on a game basis. The Bismarck Larks pride themselves on our commitment to customer service and our game day staff plays an important role in carrying out that mission.
Each position listed is a role needed during each of the Bismarck Larks’ 36 home games. Game day staff begin working one to two hours before each game.
Game-Day Staff Positions:
Grill Cooks – Responsible for ensuring Larks fans receive the freshest food possible in a timely manner. Grillers will follow specific food preparation and sanitation guidelines designed to create a consistently quality product. Must be at least 18 years of age. Grill manager positions also available.
Family Fun Zone – The Larks Family Fun Zone is the place to be during the game. The Fun Zone features 3 massive inflatables, a wiffle ball field and more. The Family Fun Zone crew is responsible for ensuring that each child is properly checked in and ensuring that everyone is having a fun, safe experience.
Waiter/Waitress – Responsible for serving fans in the American Bank Center Home Plate Club. Employees must provide excellent customer service, display an understanding of food and beverage options, and follow closely the health and sanitation guidelines set forth by the Larks. Must be at least 19 years of age to serve alcohol.
Beer Pourers – Responsible for serving beer throughout the ballpark. Employees must provide excellent customer service, display an understanding of beverage options , and follow closely the health and sanitation guidelines set forth by the Larks. Must be at least 19 years of age.
Food Prep – The Food Prep position is the most important position in the ballpark. Food prep is responsible for working with smoked meats as well as other hot foods from the oven. Food prep is involved in the whole process from pulling food from the cooler/freezer, prepping, cooking and serving. Food prep is also responsible for ensuring the kitchen area remains clean and organized.
Runners – Runners serve as liaisons between the Grillers and Cashiers to fill the customer’s order. Their focus is on efficiently receiving the customer’s order from the cashier and working with the grillers to produce the products that they need to complete the order. Runners are accessible to customers and should be helpful and responsive to their wants, needs, and concerns. Lastly runners will have a role assisting the concessions managers and grillers to include washing dishes, post game concessions cleanup, and food wrapping.
Buffett Attendants – Responsible for serving fans in the Scheels 7-Pack Pavilion, Fireside Office Solutions Tailgate Party, Guarantee and Title Clubhouse, American Bank Center Suite Seats and the American Bank Center Home Plate Club. Responsible for ensuring Larks fans receive the freshest food possible in a timely manner. Buffett Attendants will work with grillers to consistently serve quality product.
Cashiers – Cashiers are the face of the Bismarck Larks food and beverage experience. They are expected to greet and accommodate customers with a positive attitude and a smile. Cashiers are responsible for managing cash and credit transactions at each of our concessions areas while processing accurate and timely concessions orders.
Wristbander – Wristbanders are responsible for making sure Larks guests and fans have the proper ticket/wristband to get into each area. Each all inclusive area has different amenities. The job of the wristbander is properly identify the area on the ticket along with which wristband they should get. If they are in the wrong area, wristbanders should assist and direct fans to proper area. Wristbanders are a lot of fans main interaction with our staff while at the ballpark. It is of the utmost importance that wristanders are courteous, accommodating and polite in all situations.
Gate Attendant – Gate Attendants main focus is to ensure that anyone entering the gates has has a ticket and that the ticket is for the correct day and has not already been used.
Bag Check – Bag Checkers are one of the first people that fans meet during their Larks experience. They are responsible for ensuring that fans do not bring prohibited items in the ballpark. The ability to work with the public and memorize rules is a must.
Parking – The Larks want every fan’s experience to be great from the time they arrive to park until the time they leave the parking lot. The role of the parking attendants is to help fans have the best experience parking possible. We do not charge for parking, but the lot fills up extremely fast. VIP parking is reserved for season ticket holders and sponsors.
Performers –If you want to entertain fans, then this is the job for you. We’re looking for unique individuals that have an enthusiastic personality to be part of our show! As a mascot, you’d be responsible for engaging with fans, messing with players, performing on field skits/routines, taking pictures and being the face of the Bismarck Larks! What’s a Park Shark you might ask? A Park Shark is a knowledgeable member of the team who is going to help assist in the ballpark experience by helping answer fan questions, directing people to designated locations, assist in parking, and more! All while wearing a shark costume of course…
