Educational opportunities will always be a hallmark of Farmers Union. From camping programs for third graders to marketing sessions for young producers, we offer a wide-ranging slate of special events across the state throughout the year. Our summer camps attract more than 1,200 youth every year, making it one of the most popular summer activities anywhere in North Dakota. We design these camps to encourage our youth to emerge as a new generation of leaders. Learn and have fun with camps, classes, and trips!

PROGRAM GOALS

North Dakota Farmers Union provides camp opportunities to young Farmers Union members each summer. More than 1,200 youth participate in cooperative-focused leadership camps annually. Camps are held at two different sites, one near Elgin and a NEW location at Jamestown.
North Dakota Farmers Union provides trained counselors who encourage campers to develop positive and constructive attitudes about their own capabilities through cooperation, teamwork, and leadership. Our program and activities are designed to highlight the individuality of all youth. Transportation to and from camp may be provided by North Dakota Farmers Union where feasible.
CAMP LOCATIONS
• HEART BUTTE FARMERS UNION CAMP: Located on Lake Tschida just outside of Elgin, ND
• JAMES RIVER FARMERS UNION CAMP: Located on the Jamestown Reservoir in Jamestown, ND
