Perkins Propels Bucks to Victory

Cameron Perkins (Purdue) had a nice night at the plate Thursday at Riverfront Stadium in Waterloo. The 6'5'' 1st basemen from Indianapolis was 4-for-5 on the night with three runs scored and two RBIs. Three of Perkins hits went for extra bases as he doubled twice and homered. Perkins is now hitting .313 in 29 games.

Balog Helps Bullfrogs Beat Bombers

Nik Balog (San Francisco) help lead the Bullfrogs to victory Tuesday night against the Battle Creek Bombers. Balog was 3-for-5 on the night with two runs scored and three RBIs. The 6'3'' left handed hitter from Saratoga, CA hit his 3rd home run of the season Tuesday night. Balog is now hitting .280 in 14 games for the Bullfrogs.

Haniger Hits Game Winning Homer

Mitch Haniger (Cal Poly) stepped to the plate for the Green Bay Bullfrogs in the bottom of the 9th against the Battle Creek Bombers down 5-4. Haniger blasted a two-run homer that scored Jacob May (Coastal Carolina) to win the game 6-5 at Joannes Stadium in Green Bay. Haniger, a 6'2'' outfielder, was 2-for-4 on the night with two runs scored and three RBIs. Haniger is now hitting .348 with three home runs.

Shepherd Hits Two Solo Shots

Blake Shepherd (Viterbo) had a huge night at the plate Saturday against the Lunkers. The 6'2'' outfielder was 3-for-4 with two home runs and also scored three runs and drove in three. The athletic Mindoro, WI native also had a stolen base and now has four home runs in five games with the Stingers in 2011. Shepherd is currently hitting .400 with six extra-base hits and seven RBIs.

Owen Leads Mallards to Road Win

Jordan Owen (Tennessee-Martin) guided the Madison Mallards to victory at Copeland Park on Friday night. Jordan Owen accounted for five of the eleven Madison runs and had four hits on the night. Owen is a is a 5'1'' outfielder from Kansas City, MO and is currently hitting .375 in 19 games played.

Fulmer Finds Stroke Against MoonDogs

Will Fulmer (Montevallo) is a 5'9'' infielder for the Alexandria Beetles in 2011 and is currently hitting .269 in 15 NWL games. Fulmer had one of his best NWL games Thursday night against the North Division leaders, the Mankato MoonDogs. The right-handed hitter was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and three RBIs and helped the Beetles improve to 11-8.
