Every week of the offseason leading up to the start of the 2018 St. Cloud Rox season on May 29, we will pick a former Rox player as the Player of the Week.

This week, it’s Will Craig, a first baseman who played in St. Cloud during the 2014 season. Craig, who is 23 years old, is currently playing for the Altoona Curve, the Double-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates.

In five games during the past week, Craig has gone 5-for-20 with four runs scored, two home runs and six RBI. On the season, he is batting .223 with 25 hits, nine doubles, five home runs and 23 RBI in 35 games for the Curve.

Craig, who was drafted by the Pirates in the first round of the 2016 MLB Draft, appeared in 56 games for the Rox in 2014. At the plate, he hit .255 with 11 doubles, eight home runs and 30 RBI. On the mound, he pitched 21 1/3 innings, giving up 15 runs and striking out 19.
