The Bismarck Larks dropped another close game to the St. Cloud Rox, 9-6. Thursday’s game was presented by Cool 98.7 and 96.5 The Walleye.
Larks starting pitcher Garrett Yawn (Long Island University- Brooklyn) had a strong performance through his four-inning outing, allowing three hits and striking out four batters.
Kevin Wiseman (Arkansas State Univerity) earned the Metro Area Ambulance Fastest Pitch of the night with a 93 mph fastball in the fifth inning.
Rox starter Hunter Day (Northern Iowa Area Community College) remained a perfect five for five for the year, appearing in four innings allowing six hits and striking out three Larks.
Garrett Macias (CSU-San Bernandino) had an impressive outing, finishing the game with no errors behind the plate. His solo HR in the bottom of the third tied up the game at 1.
Chase Grillo (Washington State University) sealed the game for St. Cloud, pitching one inning, allowing one hit in the win for the Rox, while Trevor Austin (Mercer University), Will Worthington (University of San Diego), and O’Neal Burgos (Southern University A&M College) each drove in two runs at the plate.
Khalid Collymore (Montevallo) cleared the bases in the bottom of the fourth with a two-run home run to give the Larks their first lead of the game and earning him the Fetzer Electric Play of the Game.
