The Larks dropped Monday’s game in the first of a four-game series against the Waterloo Bucks, 15-5.
The Bucks saw all nine batters get on base at least once and seven of the nine finished with an RBI. Former Bismarck Bull Moose player Liam Crichett (Loyola Marymount) finished three-for-five with three RBIs. Tai Walton (University of Hawaii) also ended with three RBIs, while Caleb Corbin (Iowa Central Community College) ended with two.
At the plate, Jackson Beaman (University of Missouri) had a great game at the plate driving in three of the Larks five runs after an RBI sacrifice in the first inning. Beaman also delivered the Fetzer Electric Play of the Game with a two-run home run in the eighth.
On the mound, Chris Hernandez (CSU – San Bernardino) delivered the Metro Area Ambulance Fastest Pitch of the Game at 88 mph.
The Larks are back in action for a double-header with the Waterloo Bucks tomorrow. The first game is set to start at 12:05 pm, the second at 6:35 pm on ESPN+ and the Northwoods League TV Network.
