BISMARCK, ND– The Larks lost against the Waterloo Bucks in a very quick game at Bismarck Municipal Ballpark by a score of 7-1. The Larks are now 33-26-1 on the season and 15-45 overall and 5-20 in the second half.
The bats were silenced in tonight’s game only recording five hits and scoring in their only run in the bottom of the 9th inning.
Braden Williams scored the only run of the game when Carson Bartels hit a two out single in the bottom of the 9th inning to cut it to a 7-1 game. The Larks just weren’t able to rally all night stranding eight runners on base over the course of the game.
The Bucks scored three runs in the top of the 2nd inning after back to back singles and then a three run home run off the bat of Carmen Sclafani to give the Bucks an early 3-0 lead. The Bucks added two more in the top of the 3rd inning to go up 5-0.
Waterloo added two more runs in the top of the 8th inning to jump out in front 7-0 and that would be good enough for the Bucks.
The Larks lost 7-1 and are now 33-26-1 on the season and 8-15-1 in the second half. The Larks will be back in action tomorrow at 11:05 and 7:05 against the Waterloo Bucks in a day-night double header to finish the season series. Catch all the action on http://mixlr.com/larksbaseball/.
