Every Scheels 7 Game Pack game will have a different theme. Circus is the first theme.
BISMARCK, ND– The Bismarck Larks baseball team announced that 95 percent of all box seats are sold out for the 2019 season at Bismarck Municipal Ballpark, home of Dakota Community Bank and Trust Field.
“It’s truly amazing the passion our fanbase brings for Larks baseball,” said team general manager John Bollinger. “A sellout creates the best game experience possible for our players and fans and our goal this year is to create that experience each and every night.”
In their inaugural season, the Larks sold out 27 of 36 home games. In 2018, the team added 300 new seats and sold out 30 of 36 home games. The team’s goal this year is to sell out every game and they could potentially accomplish this before the season starts.
“With the tremendous support we’ve received from the Bismarck-Mandan community, we think we will reach that goal,” said Bollinger. “To accomplish this, we’ve tried to reward that fan support by offering an all-inclusive ticket package at a family-friendly price.”
The only way to get a box seat this year is by purchasing the a Scheels 7 Game Pack. There are only 300 packs left and once those are sold out, box seats will be sold out for the season. In addition to seven games, the pack includes free food at each game, a free jersey, hat, bobblehead and other gifts. Purchase yours here.
On top of a sold-out atmosphere in the ballpark, the Larks are adding a new feature to their 2019 baseball games. Every game will have a theme. There will be seven different themes total. One for every game in the Scheels 7 Game Pack. The scheduling ensures that these fans will attend each theme once.
“We are always thinking of ways we to entertain our fans. We thought adding these new theme nights would be the perfect way to turn baseball into a fresh new experience,” said Bollinger. “No one has ever been to a game quite like these, and our Scheels 7 Game Pack holders get to see seven truly unique shows.”
The Larks’ first set of games will be circus themed. The on-field games, performances, food, music, merchandise and more will all be influenced by the circus.
“We want to bring the experience of going to the circus to the ballpark,” said Matt Wurnig, the team’s new director of fun. “There will be something for everyone. I’ll even be out there in a circus ringleader costume. Imagine Hugh Jackman in The Greatest Showman, except twice as good looking.”
The remaining themes will be named in the coming months.
“We have some crazy plans in the works, and we want our fans to be a part of the planning,” said Bollinger. “Fans will be able to help us choose some of our on-field performers, merchandise and even what an entire theme will be.”
The Larks’ 2019 season begins on May 28 with a home game against the Eau Claire Express.
