The Great Plains Food Bank, Farmers Union Insurance, and the Bismarck Larks teamed up to provide 3,626 meals to those in need through the Farmers Union Insurance Jersey Giveaway.

Last year, the Jersey Giveaway raised over 2,390 pounds of food. We raised almost 1,000 more pounds of food at this years event!


What is the Great Plains Food Bank?

The Great Plains Food Bank serves as North Dakota’s only food bank. Its partner network includes 213 food pantries, shelters, soup kitchens, and other charitable feeding programs operating in 99 communities across North Dakota and Clay County, Minnesota.

Since 1983, the Great Plains Food Bank, through its partners and programs, have distributed more than 185 million pounds of food to children, seniors, and families in need. The Great Plains Food Bank was named the Not-for-Profit of the Year for 2017 by the Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo Chamber of Commerce and is a member of Feeding America, the nation’s food bank network.

As a key provider in the Bismarck-Mandan area, the Great Plains Food Bank plans to build a facility in Bismarck-Mandan to better serve all of western North Dakota.
