BISMARCK, ND – Another day, another dollar, and another thrilling victory for the Larks in front of their home fans.

The Bismarck Larks tallied their second walk-off victory of the season defeating the Duluth Huskies by a final score of 4-3.

The Larks (10-10) wasted no time in attempts of grabbing a bounce back victory scoring a run in the bottom of the first. Cooper Coldiron drove in Mitch Gallagher by means of an RBI sacrifice fly to make it 1-0.

Giving the Larks a taste of their own medicine, the Huskies (10-9) responded in the very next frame with an RBI groundout by Isaac Collins scoring Dean Nevarez to knot the game at 1-1.

It wasn't until the bottom of the fourth that the Larks would push across their next run. Ryan Anderson, who led off the inning with a double, was brought around on the Larks second RBI sac fly of the day. This time it was off the bat of Scooter Bynum as he recorded his team-leading 11th RBI and gave Bismarck a 2-1 advantage.

For the second time in the ballgame the Huskies would battle back and tie up the contest. Matt Frazier drove home Sam Baier via an RBI single.

The back and forth contest continued, this time in favor of the Larks. Mason Pierzchalski tabbed his third hit of the ballgame by leading off the bottom of the sixth with single.

Fast forward to an at-bat later in the inning when Gallagher flared a ball into shallow left field. Huskies shortstop Camryn Williams called off the left fielder Sam Baier eventually dropping the shallow pop up after juggling the baseball several times.

The error by Williams allowed Pierzchalski to trot on home and give the Larks the 3-2 lead. David Salguiero attempted to score on the same play but was gunned down on the 7-2 putout.

All the way up until the top of the ninth with two outs the Larks believed that this would be the game-winning run. Fortunately for the Huskies, Luke Roskam had other plans.

Roskam sent a 2-1 pitch from Larks reliever Nick Boyles over the right field wall to silence the sold out crowd at The Nest and tie the game at 3-3.

Boyles would finish the rest of the inning giving the Bismarck offense a chance to wake up the Larks faithful here on Father’s Day.

The offense would deliver.

David Salguiero led off the bottom of the ninth getting hit by a pitch from Huskies reliever Joe GonrowskI after falling behind in the count 1-2.

After a sacrifice bunt by Gallagher, Austin Paschke lined a single to right where Salguiero ended up half way down the third base line. Thanks to an off line throw by Huskies right fielder Jake Smith, Salguiero was able to safely retreat back to the third base bag.

The man called upon to give the Larks their 10th win of the 2017 season was Cooper Coldiron. Coldiron would work an eight pitch at bat ultimately lining the game-winning RBI single to left field scoring Salguiero.

Alex Ross made his third start of the season for the Larks going six strong inning giving up two earned runs on five strikeouts and four walks.

Huskies starter Gaylon Viney tossed four innings giving up two earned runs and striking out six Larks hitters.

The Larks tallied their second walk off victory of the 2017 season pushing them back to the .500 mark. They have now won three out of their last four games.

St. Cloud will come to town tomorrow with the first pitch set for 7:05pm at Bismarck Municipal Ballpark, Home of Dakota Community Bank and Trust Field.
