What is the Great Plains Food Bank?
The Great Plains Food Bank serves as North Dakota’s only food bank. Its partner network includes 213 food pantries, shelters, soup kitchens, and other charitable feeding programs operating in 99 communities across North Dakota and Clay County, Minnesota.
Since 1983, the Great Plains Food Bank, through its partners and programs, have distributed more than 185 million pounds offood to children, seniors, and families in need. The Great Plains Food Bank was named the Not-for-Profit of the Year for 2017 by the Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo Chamber of Commerce and is a member of Feeding America, the nation’s food bank network.
As a key provider in the Bismarck-Mandan area, the Great Plains Food Bank plans to build a facility in Bismarck-Mandan to better serve all of western North Dakota.

1 Day, 1,000 Jerseys, 1 AMAZING DONATION.
In 2018, together with Farmers Union Insurance, we did something really special. We asked fans to open their hearts and donate two canned or boxed food items in order to receive the specialty jersey.
The result — all 1,000 jerseys were gone in 24 hours!
But more importantly — thanks to our generous fans — we collected 2,006 pounds of food, $612 in cash donations and provided 3,507 meals to the Great Plains Food Bank!
This was the the largest single day food drive for the Great Plains Food Bank in 2018!
