The Bismarck Larks lost to the St. Cloud Rox in the final game before the All Star break on Sunday, July 14th by a final score of 10-4. The Larks go into the All Star break with a 3-9 record in the second half and 23-25 overall record for the season.
What’s Next: The Larks will have the next three days off before they travel to St. Cloud to take on the Rox on Thursday, July 18th. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05pm.
The Rox scored four runs in the first inning as they hit their 6th home run of the three game series here in Bismarck from a 3-run home run off the bat of Jack Kelly.
The Larks got a few runs back in the first and second innings to make the score 4-2 before the Rox extended their lead to 5-2. The Larks scored one in the bottom of the 6th inning to close the gap making the game 5-3 on an RBI double from Matt Warkentin that scored Clay Woeste from second.
The Rox then put the game out of reach in the top of the 7th as they scored 4 runs in the inning to create a 6 run lead that they held onto for the rest of the way. The Larks and Rox traded a pair of runs to make the final score 10-4.
Inside the Boxscore: Clay Woeste and Brody Tanksley both had 3 hits in the game as Woeste had a triple, two runs scored, and a stolen base while Tanksley had two singles and a double at the plate.
Woeste and Ulrich extended their league lead on the basepaths as Ulrich stole two bases today while Woeste stole one pushing each of their totals on the year to 23 while remaining tied for third in the Northwoods League.
