How It Happened: The Honkers scored a run in seven of the nine innings played including twelve runs scored in the first five innings. The Honkers got on the board in the first inning; Ryan Wrobleski who played spectacular in the game picked up his first RBI.

Down 5-0, the Larks got within three after a sacrifice fly from Gavin Rogers which scored the first run before Ronnie McBride scored from third on a passed ball for the second run. That was the closest the Larks got though, as the Honkers continued to pour on runs in the fourth inning. It all started with Wrobleski, who could be tonight’s Northwoods League Player of the Night. He had the biggest swing of the game on a two-run home run over the left field fence making it 7-2. The Honkers then scored another four runs before the inning ended to increase their lead to 11-2.

The Larks scored two more in the fifth on a Jacob Rogers single to left field which drove in Cooper Bowman and Wyatt Ulrich to make the game 12-4.

Inside The Boxscore: Wrobleski was 4-for-5 on the night with 5 RBI and two runs scored. Wyatt Ulrich hit his first triple of the season while going 1-for-3 with a run scored and two walks. David Mendham picked up his first hit as a Lark via a double to right center, he was 1-for-4 in his debut.
