BISMARCK, ND – The fledgling Bismarck Larks of the Northwoods League announce the signing of three more players.
Junior outfielder David Salgueiro of LSU-Shreveport, sophomore outfielder Logan Constantine of LSU-Alexandria and senior pitcher Casey Sullivan of Louisiana Tech have been added to the Larks’ inaugural roster.
The fleet-footed, switch-hitting Salgueiro is from Miami, Florida, and played at Kishwaukee Community College before joining the Pilots (30-14). In 40 games this season, Salgueiro is batting .390 with a homer and 20 RBIs. He has 41 stolen bases and has scored 49 runs. In 2016, Salgueiro led the NJCAA in stolen bases with 60.
Constantine, a right-handed hitter from Opelousas, Louisiana, played previously at LSU-Eunice. He leads the Generals (28-16) in hits (61), batting average (.412) and stolen bases (26). He has six homers, 29 runs batted in and has scored 39 runs.
Sullivan, a right-hander from Boston, has appeared in eight games, starting two, with a 2.65 earned run average. He does not have a decision. In 17 innings, Sullivan has given up 15 hits, walked six and struck out 17. Batters are hitting .231 against him.
The Larks open the season and a four-game homestand May 30 against the Eau Claire Express at Bismarck Municipal Ballpark.
