BISMARCK, ND– The Bismarck Larks improve to 22-11 on the season after coming away with a 5-1 victory over the Eau Claire Express at Bismarck Municipal Ballpark. With this win the Larks stay in a tight race for first place in the Northwoods League standing with just three games remaining in the first half.

Ripken Reyes got the Larks on the board in the bottom of the first inning when he hit a double into left-centerfield and Kyle Stevens would later drive him in.

The Express scored their only run of the game in the top of the 5th inning when Scott Ogrin drove in Noah Sifrit to tie the game 1-1.

In the bottom of the 6th inning, Michael Farnell hit an inside the park home run that hit off the ivy in right field. That gave the Larks a 2-1 lead and they didn’t look back after that.

In the 7th inning, Jacob Nesbit, Wyatt Ulrich, and Ripken Reyes scored insurance runs to increase their lead to 5-1 and that’s all the offense that they needed in this one.

Matt Munden and Colan Borchers closed things out on the mound for the Larks and helped them seal the victory
