DULUTH, MN– The Bismarck Larks fell to the Duluth Huskies 5-3 at Wade Stadium in a game that saw all eight combined runs come in the first four innings.

Cruz Daddario started on the mound for the Larks and pitched four innings, allowing five runs, with only three of them being earned. Duluth scored two runs in the bottom of the 1st inning to get the scoring going but the Larks bats didn’t back down there.

Mike Farnell hit a two run home run deep to right field to tie the game 2-2 in the top of the 2nd inning.

The Huskies continued getting guys on base and bringing them around to score as the bottom of the 2nd inning started with a triple and was later brought in with a single.

In the top of 3rd inning, Tristen Carranza hit a sacrifice fly to drive in Ripken Reyes and score the third run of the game for the Larks.

In the bottom of the 3rd and 4th innings, the Huskies put up one run as the leadoff man was able to get on base and come around to score.

The scoring for both teams stopped after that as Corey Treyes come on in relief for the Larks and didn’t allow a single run over the next four innings.

Bismarck left six runners stranded on base and they struck out ten times. Only one extra base hit was recorded and it was the home run off the bat of Farnell.

A very tough loss for the Larks on the road as the second half struggles continue with 20 more games left in the regular season.

The Larks lost 11-4 and are now 29-22 on the season and 4-11 in the second half. The Larks will be back in action tomorrow night when they take on Duluth in the series finale before heading to Rochester.
