The Larks took the series finale in an absolute rout of the Waterloo Bucks, 14-3.

The Larks saw dominance in all three phases of the game after allowing only three runs on six hits and driving in 14 runs on 14 hits. 

Carter Rost (Wichita State) got his fourth start and fourth victory of the summer after going seven innings and allowing only one earned run. Rost struck out 11 batters on 107 pitchers, while not allowing a single walk all game. Rost also finished with the Metro Area Ambulance Fastest Pitch of the Game at 89 mph.

At the plate the Larks combined for 14 hits and combined for 12 of the 14 runs in two innings. Adam Axtell (Point Loma Nazarene) finished as the RBI leader after delivering three base hits driving in four runs. Aaron Mann (Drury University) went one for six with a scored run, and three RBIs. 

Jackson Beaman sent the only ball over the wall in tonight’s ball game after hitting a two-run home run in the bottom of the seventh. That was Beaman’s third home run of the summer. 

Jake Hjelle (University of Minnesota-Crookston) also finished with an RBI after going two-for-three with two doubles and a single. Hjelle also delivered the Fetzer Electric Play of the Game after making a diving catch in shallow right field.

Andrew Paten (Columbia College) and Chris Hernandez (CSU – San Bernardino) both had great performances on the mound out of the bullpen. Both went a full inning and allowed no earned runs and combined for three strikeouts. 

The Larks are back in action tomorrow night at home as they take on the Duluth Huskies for the second time of the summer at Bismarck Municipal Ballpark, Home of Dakota Community Bank and Trust Field.
