The Larks dropped game one of a two-game series against the Mankato MoonDogs, 8-4.

The Moondogs saw a strong performance from Noah Meffert (Gustavus Adolphus) who went 6.2 innings, allowing only one earned run. Jakob Meyer (University of Evansville) sealed the deal for Mankato in the ninth out of the bullpen, allowing an earned run and striking a batter as well.

At the plate, Charles McAdoo (San Jose State) sent his fourth home run in three games over the fence and delivered two RBIs tonight for Mankato. Kai Roberts (University of Utah) and Zach Stroh (MSU – Mankato) both finished with two RBIs as well. 

The Larks saw RBIs from multiple batters tonight including Seth Surrett (LIU-Brooklyn) who delivered the Fetzer Electric Play of the Game on a two-RBI double in the bottom of the seventh. Aaron Mann (Drury University), in a pinch-hitting role, hit for an RBI single in his only at-bat of the ball game.

Bismarck saw a solid performance out of the bullpen from Jake Lynch (Murray State) who went 3.1 innings pitched and allowed only one earned run. Lynch also threw for the Metro Area Ambulance Fastest Pitch of the Game at 90 mph.

The Larks host the Moondogs for the season series finale tomorrow, with first pitch at 5:35 pm. Sunday’s game is presented by Scheels as Bismarck honors their second Hall of Fame inductee.
