Laughing Sun Lounge Brings Craft Beer to Larks Games

The lounge includes beer, yard games, and TV.

The Bismarck Larks announced their new partnership with Laughing Sun Brewing Company for the 2019 season. The partnership will include the new “Laughing Sun Lounge,” located on the third base side of the ballpark. The lounge area will include exciting craft beer, lawn and board games, and a 65” TV streaming the Larks, so you won’t miss any action.

“Laughing Sun is home to some of the best craft beer in North Dakota and we are lucky to have them as a partner,” John Bollinger, Larks general manager said.

The lounge will include five craft beers brewed by Laughing Sun at their Bismarck brewery. The beer lineup includes some old favorites and new releases, including Feast Like a Sultan IPA, I ♥︎ ND Golden Ale, Red Dwarf Raspberry Sour, Strawberry Wheat, and their brand-new, easy-drinking Lemon Sundress. Fans can also enjoy Laughing Sun’s baseball-inspired beer, Sac Fly Rye, at other outlets in the ballpark.

Laughing Sun co-founder, Todd Sattler, is excited for the season to start. “The Larks are what summertime fun in Bismarck is all about.  We’re so happy to have a place at their ballpark to share in the fun. Hometown baseball and local beer. What could be better?”

The Larks and Laughing Sun have teamed up on two fun promotions to ensure fans have plenty of reasons to visit the Lounge throughout the season. First, during the Laughing Sun Happy Hour — from the time the gates open until the opening pitch game – fans will receive a 20oz Laughing Sun beer in a commemorative mug for the price of a regular 16oz beer. During the game, the Laughing Sun “Steal a Base, Steal Some Beer” promotion gives fans a 20oz Laughing Sun beer in a commemorative mug, again for the price of 16oz beer, during the remainder of the inning any time a Lark steals a base.

To make sure fans won’t miss any of the Larks baseball action, the team installed a 65-inch television in the Lounge that will feature the game. Fans can kick back at picnic tables in the lounge or have fun in the game area while enjoying the Larks on TV.

Laughing Sun is the oldest brewery in Bismarck and has recently moved locations in order to increase their production. They currently serve beer across all of North Dakota.

“With this area, we are becoming more and more like a major league ballpark. Having unique vendors to go to and to still watch the game while you refill your drink is a big deal for us,” Bollinger said.

The new Laughing Sun Lounge will be open during every Larks game this summer.
