Roosevelt Elementary’s Emari Wolf Named April Kid of the Month

A talented dancer, animal enthusiast, and dedicated student, Emari wants to make the world a better place.
The Bismarck Larks, in partnership with MDU Resources Group, are proud to announce 9-year-old Emari Wolf is the April Kid of the Month.
“Emari is a smart, kind, and caring young lady,” Amber, Emari’s mom, said. “She volunteers as an aide to the school for the whole year, making sure all students have returned from recess, and helping to gather and put away all activity equipment like chalk and basketballs.”
A student at Roosevelt Elementary, her teachers say she is a joy to have in the classroom, and takes initiative to help others who need a little more assistance. Emari has been chosen as a student of the month every year since kindergarten.
Emari is also involved in dance, performing on hip hop, tap, and pom teams at Jazz Co. in Mandan. After participating on those teams for the last three years, she says that her favorite is poms. Her kindness extends to her fellow classmates, as she is one of the first to help out another student if they are having a hard time getting some of the moves right.
In the future, Emari wants to be a veterinarian. During a trip to an aviary in Minneapolis, she got to hold some of the birds, and immediately fell in love with animals. Emari also loves horses and rodeo sports.
“I really like to go riding on my two horses, and I really like playing with my friends at school,” said Emari.
Emari will receive four free tickets to the Larks’ Kid of the Year game, a customized jersey, on-field recognition, and a chance to win a $1,000 College SAVE account scholarship from MDU Resources Group. The Larks are looking for one more outstanding student to recognize on the field at the June 1st game. Families, teachers, and community members may nominate other deserving students.
