The Rochester Honkers defeated the Bismarck Larks 15-2 on the final BNC National Bank Family Fun Day on Sunday afternoon. The game was presented by The Bismarck Tribune and the first 250 fans scored a Tom Stromme bobblehead after he won the Larks Media Bobblehead Madness back in March.

It was all Rochester and they received a strong start from their starter, Alexander Lovin. The righty went four innings allowing just one run and recorded one strikeout.

Despite the loss, defense shined for the Larks. Larks third baseman, Cal James, made the Fetzer Electric Play of The Game when he dove to his left to rob Honkers center fielder, Alex Pimentel, of a base hit. It was the second game in a row in which James made a great defensive snag at the hot corner.

Of all Larks pitchers, position player Jarrett Bickel had the best day on the mound. Bickel tossed a scoreless eighth inning and was working with a lot of speed on his fastball. The righty touched 91 mph on the radar gun for the Metro-Area Ambulance Fastest Pitch.

The Larks will travel to Mankato for a three-game series before returning home for their final two home games of the summer on Wednesday and Thursday.

All road games can be radio streamed on mixlr.com/larksbaseball.
